COVID19 Update | Broward county opens a new vaccination site
At Amicus Medical Centers, we keep monitoring the latest updates from the Florida Department of Health (DOH-Broward) regarding COVID 19 vaccine distribution in South Florida in order to provide you with all the support you need.
In this sense, the DOH-Broward has opened a sixth new vaccination site at Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, for 65+ individuals with confirmed appointments only. This initiative has officially opened its first vaccine distribution site at the Coral Square Mall (9469 W Atlantic Blvd, Coral Springs, entry made from outside of the mall at Unit 9223B) on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
The site will remain operational 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday until further notice, by appointment only. In following the guidelines issued by the Governor’s Emergency Order, the distribution schedule for vaccinations at this site are available through FDOH by appointment only for citizens who are 65+, with government-issued identification.
Please be aware that the Coral Springs site is a Walk-In with Appointment Vaccination Site (not drive-thru). Those who do not have an appointment and are not 65+ with government-issued ID, will not be vaccinated at this location. Only persons who arrive for their confirmed scheduled vaccination time will be allowed entry into the site, gathering at the site is prohibited.
We encourage residents to check the FDOH web portal at www.browardcovidvaccine.com regularly. Please sign up for text alerts from the city by texting the keyword CoralSprings (one word) to 888-777 for up-to-date information about site availability and additional site locations.
Appointments for the second dose of the vaccine will be provided to persons at the conclusion of their initial vaccination appointment. It will include the location and time you must return.
